Synthetic Specialists Replay Maintenance have signed a service agreement with England Hockey to become an ‘Official Pitch Maintenance Supplier’. As well as practical pitch maintenance, Replay will work closely with the ‘Clubs and Facilities team’ at England Hockey to supply support and educational services to clubs around the country.
England Hockey was formed in 2003 as the National Governing Body (NGB) for hockey. It sets the strategic direction for the sport and co-ordinates its competition structures. It is also responsible for transferring the knowledge of best practice, undertakes a lead role in marketing and developing the image of the sport, as well as acting as interface between the sport and national bodies such as Sport England and The Youth Sports Trust.
The contract commenced in May and will see Replay conduct regular surface inspections to identify areas that require maintenance as well as working closely with the EH teams in creating maintenance programmes. The contract also extends to seminars and training for England Hockey regional teams and clubs to aid understanding of pitch maintenance.
Commenting on the agreement, Director of Replay Maintenance Garry Martin said, “Through the signing of this agreement we are confident that with our extensive knowledge and first class experience we will be able to support Hockey clubs and facilities nationwide with maintenance on their synthetic pitches.”
Kirsty Goldie-Brammer, Clubs and Facilities Manager at England Hockey, added “We are delighted to have a partnership with Replay Maintenance as one of our official pitch maintenance suppliers. We are really looking forward to working with them to support our development staff and hockey clubs across England.”
